CYCA Ocean Racer of the Year Awards

The Cruising Yacht Club of Australia will hold the presentation of the Ocean Racer of the Year Awards for 2024 on Thursday 6 March 2025.

The Ocean Racer Awards will be held in conjunction with the Audi Centre Sydney Blue Water Pointscore Prize Giving for the 2024-25 Season. 

The CYCA requests that fellow offshore clubs and sailors nominate candidates that they feel would be eligible for these awards.

The categories are:

  • Ocean Racing Yachtsperson of the Year
  • Female Ocean Racer of the Year
  • Sally Gordon Memorial Trophy for the Ocean Crew Person of the Year
  • Double Handed Ocean Racers of the Year 
  • Ocean Veteran of the Year
  • Ocean Rookie of the Year
  • Ocean Navigator of the Year
  • Youth Ocean Racer of the Year (under 25 years of age)

All nominations should be in respect of performances and achievements during the period 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2024.
