CYCA Ocean Racer of the Year Awards

Nomination Form

The Cruising Yacht Club of Australia will hold the presentation of the Ocean Racer of the Year Awards for 2023 on Friday 1 March 2024.

The Ocean Racer Awards will be held in conjunction with the Audi Centre Sydney Blue Water Pointscore Prize Giving for the 2023-24 season. 

The CYCA requests that fellow offshore clubs and sailors nominate candidates that they feel would be eligible for these awards.

The categories are:

  • Ocean Racing Yachtsman of the Year
  • Female Ocean Racer of the Year
  • Sally Gordon Memorial Trophy for the Ocean Crew Person of the Year
  • Two Handed Ocean Racers of the Year 
  • Ocean Veteran of the Year
  • Ocean Rookie of the Year
  • Ocean Navigator of the Year
  • Youth Ocean Racer of the Year (under 25 years of age)

All nominations should be in respect of performances and achievements during the period 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023.
